I was certainly worth the drive in to meet some of the new faces and say hi again to lots of the old ones.
I echo Ed's suggestion about getting a place that has a party room to make it easier to mingle. Wild Wing on Meadowlands and PoW has a good sized room.
Wasn't able to make this G2G but while driving into work Saturday morning your Host for the evening got a bit of a shot in the arm ..... Also glad to see a few of the ORWL lads made it out
Just like to say Thank you, to Paul Shibata for mentioning the G2G.
We are a feeding system to supply Renegade Bass with Anglers.
It would be interesting to have an idea how many Fish-Hawk people have gone on to wet their feet in tournament fishing with Renegade.
It's a pleasure to get these G2G up and going.
I've always felt it better to meet people face to face, rather than have keyboard connections all the time.
Since yesterday was such a nice day, took the Lund to the Big Rideau.
After clearing the ice out of the launch area, CN and I were off into the water.
After having a warning shot blasted we soon left the area....duck hunters at 11:00 am.
Washed lures yesterday, had a few hits but no connections.
Do these count as much as a follow in the musky world.
Thank goodness what we're getting this morning is in the liquid form and NOT semi solid.
This should put ice fishing on hold for a few more days.
Feel there's still a few more outings in the Lund, although if this doesn't come about, E-Tec is winterized.
Just to be clear, though I appreciate the acknowledgement, my participation at the g2g and the mention on the show wasn't in the interests of warming up to prospective competitors. Truth be told I had heard that scouts for an Asian Santa would be in attendance and I was looking to selfishly fulfill my childhood dream. The name on the show says Renegade but we're all about fishing and supporting our community regardless if you are, or ever will be a competitive angler. The reality is we have far more topics that are non-bass related than specific shows dedicated to tournament fishing. As Peter (Almonte), Big Jim, Lawrence and others can attest to I'll try to assist anything that constructively contributes to our resource, and our anglers regardless of the species.
I was excited to join the gang and meet new faces just because I share the common madness that is our love for fishing. And my only only agenda was to determine if Marc's head was as shiny at night.
In an effort to further bolster our incredible fishing community, I would like to help more. If there's something I can do be sure to let me know. On a side note, I am always looking for new ideas for the show please reach out with topics and if you're interested perhaps you could join me on air with your story.
Keep up the great work, together we can further build a strong, supportive and constructive fishing community.
