I use FUGAWI software as my fishing log and waypoint management. Every time out on a lake I waypoint mark technique, date, weather and what was working. At the end of the day I log all my GPS tracks and waypoint details with additional speed, surface temp colours etc. I even load pictures that are saved with the waypoints. I have about 8 years logged for more than 40 bodies of water. When I return to the same body of water in the future I just transfer the data from my laptop onto an SD card for the lake or river and load it up into my sonar/gps units. At any time I can recall what happen in the past at any waypoint, this also allows me to view the trails of everywhere I have traveled in the past.

Fishing isn't a matter of life and death....
It's much more important.

Funny I too am thinking this is the year to start a fishing log myself
I want to use one of the Iphone apps to do so. thinking the ifishjournal is the best for my needs? Its a little pricy at $8.00? Anyone useing this app now?? I just picked up an Iphone and its been so handy so far. I even have Navionics loaded for just $10
I also like the fishing knot apps.
