Interesting point. Does immediate release only pertain to OOS fish or also fish that do not make slot sizes?? Because how does one measure a fish to confirm slot size if they have toslop wrote:What about all these Muskies that we see photos of from the Ottawa(Zone 12 while in season), that are not greater than the 137cm/54in minimum.
As mentioned previously, the MNR uses the word "Immediately" throughout the regulations without a concise definition. The following excerpt clearly implies that you can handle a fish to determine whether it is of legal size or not.almontefisher wrote:Does immediate release only pertain to OOS fish or also fish that do not make slot sizes?? I don't know Todd this quote...The definition of immediate is "to accomplish without loss or interval of time", therefore measuring or taking a picture would cause an interval of time and not be allowed.Todd B. wrote:As mentioned previously, the MNR uses the word "Immediately" throughout the regulations without a concise definition.
