definition of immediate release.

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I do find it ironic that Superdads "open water fishing" report has 587 views and NOONE has said anything about his OOS walleye pic.....if it was a bass or a muskie he'd have been crucified by now..............

I digress.....do as you wish fellas. I do.

I marked this topic on the calender last year and it's come up a little early this year. Must be global warming/climate change.

The stance on OOS season photo opps is still discretionary in law enforcement. The grey area. Superdad obviously violated the rules set forth by the administrators of this site by posting a photo of an out of season fish.

I'm sure Superdad will remove said photo and continue to provide us all with his fishing knowledge and expertise.
Ok if the mods want they can close the thread I think everything is covered and the thread certainly wasnt started to bring into question SuperDads actions. I realize this had been talked about before but the reason I brought it up is because of the changes made in zone 17 for 2010 with a slot limit on the walleye that states fish over 19" can not be kept. I emailed the MNR and asked the question, if they come back with a definitive answer I will post the email response.

How does MNR determine if an angler is targeting OOS fish?

Hey Bass Addict
I noticed you have a picture of a Snowy Owl in your avatar!!!
I hope you released it immediately!!!!
Since white snowy owls are not in season, ever, are you sure you are not breaking one of the rules?
I think it is rule # 42,278, I'll verify in the rule book next time I'm in the restroom.

poke poke poke... sharpen pencil...

OOS

Post by Big Jim »

Hey HAWK Dudes, "most" anglers are well aware and know when they are TARGETING fish out of season...PERIOD :? :x  .

I still have my photo of two fairly well known local anglers tossing buzz-baits along the shore with "NO" vegitation on the trees (early April)...they were very surprised to see me on shore between the bull rushes trying for a few crappie with a 12 foot pole that allowed me to reach over the rush bed...and just enough room to snap their boat with them in it casting...some day I'll stir up some real crap and post it (well Bobber will have to post it because I am still a computer dummy).

Chill out here it's almost fishing season :D 8)

Have a great day

just a little something to had.

its been talk before.

an OOSF out off season fish is an iligal fish.

an OOSF out off size fish is the same exact thing and iligal fish no deference there still both illigal by law.(ex musky under 52inch out off ottawa river)

so all the musky caught under 52 inch on that river should not be pictured and post the same exact thing..both are iligal fish...can you keep them ono or the other nope..so put back as soon as possible no pict taken.

99.9 musky out off thr river we see here are iligal fish.by the way..if you look that way.pure and simple and nobody can say deferently

thats is the law.

but again gray area. in this.

but i saw so many out off size ligaly fish out off water for a long period just to make sher to take a lot off pict...

and for the record its not a personal choice...to say i dont have an issue or wathever..you might or not.

but legaly say that in COURT ...personly i dont have an issue..

the law is put it back in as soon as possible.

but the truth its all about the mnr people that will see you and what you do in reality .

its like everything hesle..in life and laws.

everybody goes over the limit on the 417 but they wont stop you until you get to a certain limit..same here. if people take to mutch time out a fish...and it might kill a fish for braging rithgs..guive him a ticket...i have no issue wit that..hahahah

I think if you have a regular licence you are allowed to take one picture. If you have a conservation licence you can't.

Joco you cannot even compare the handling of OOS fish with measuring a fish for size in season. There is a big difference between mesuring your muskie in season to see if it's legal or not vs. a bass off it's bed or any fish OOS.

It's deffinitly not an issue for a conservation license owner to take a picture of his catch in season no matter the size as all muskie must be released.

It's just like doing 105 on the Queensway.

yes there a deference but still an illigal fish look it wathever side you want trophymusky.........deference yes.ligal not...end off this .pure and simple..you cant say its legal to do so.

if its shorter then legal limit you just cant keep it and as to go back as soon as possible its the same exact thing..mabe for you its not a good thing for pictures..but what can i say.its out off lengh limit size fish..and we did talk about this few years back.

and i will take pict and will take very care off the fish ,i am saying not i wont do it...i will deal wit the consequasenc if i do get a ticket.

you think i get a 50 incher and wont get a pict off course i will..but i would be legaly not supose to.

my troble.

sher out off a season fish in the season off fray is no good at all...but out oss season those not meen danger for fish...look at bass.its open all winter over here in quebec and there not in worst conditon the the ontario bass.....they should be out off season in fray period or where the fish are target in off season like lakers in some lakes.

but its the law and nobody is above it.

joco.exacly like your 105km in a zone off 100.not legal..it all depend the mner people that will see you. and how the fish is been palyd wit.

I THINK THAT TREAD AS WENT FAR ANAUGHT

peole got the point now i think

its all about doing the right thing for the fish and fisheries legaly...

they wont never say its ok to do so becasue wen they will people will take there time and so on.

we already see it and its ilegal so imagine.

.go back to some fishing report.NOW
