Rod
Hello All,
I would like thank all those who have taken the time and provided feedback with respect to my question.
I finally got my new rod (G-Loomis WBR813C ) and reel (Shimano Castaic) just in time for the Quinte opener and at a good price. Now all I have to do is figure out what line to use...lol
Next on my agenda after the May trip is a new trolling rod and reel.
Thanks
Tom

Wrong.....I've had 7'6" rods delivered to Canada. This were 1 piece....non-telescopic. You just have to be carefull who you buy from. I refuse to pay anymore than $25 for delivery.MichaelVandenberg wrote:Correct me if I am wrong, but buying a rod through ebay is a challenge as you can't get it shipped once it reaches a certain length which pretty much means all one pieces.
Again, correct me if I am wrong.

Loomis Rods Cheap
Here is how you get a collection of Loomis rods on the cheap.
You fish with my 2 buddy's they are both insane tackle junkies.
When the GL2 was a big deal they both bought a few of them for $150 each.
Then a year or two later they Loomis comes out with the IM6. My buddy's had to have a few of those (>$200 ) so I offered to buy their old used rods for 40 - 60 bucks.
A year or so later Loomis brings out the IM8 so I offer to buy their old junk rods for 60 bucks.
And so on it goes.
The only rod I have paid retail for is my St. CROIX
