TROUT TRIPPIN 2008

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I'm stayin at Wolfgang's lodge to.....I'll be up there around 10:00AM on Friday...I've got the "Pioneer" cabin....

Might be a wet Saturday and Sunday for those planning on tenting....I have room for 2 people in my cabin at $30 each/day providing that you can tolerate a bit of snoring, farting, burping, cussing, BEER drinkin', story tellin' and laughing

PM me if anyone's interested....

Oh ok,

Now I see. I'd love to go but I have a Delta Waterfowl dinner to attend this Saturday. Something like 12 guns and a jon boat are up for raffle!

Crazy!

Steve what boat are you brining? Or are you riding with someone else?

I am still debating on going. The loss of work is hindering me. If I do decide to go do you still have room?

Is the lake calm?

Can I use a inflatable boat with electric trolling motor to get to point around the lake and troll?

Its not wavy and windy like big rideau lake is it?

I cant stay for 2-3 nights, I plan to start from ottawa at 5, get there at 6:30 and start fishing till sunset.

What time is best to fish there?

....

Don,

I plan on bringing up the 14' Smokercraft and 15HP to get around the lake...I'll use the electric to troll and yes I am the only one in the cabin.. :D

Hoping to arrive at the lake between 8:30 - 9:30 tomorrow (Friday) morning and head home first thing Sunday morning...

Don't know how your inflatable handles....as far as waves it's like any other lake. It mainly depends on the wind direction...it can get rough if there's a NE or SW wind but you can also get into some back bays which are more sheltered when it is windy...
