hey all
im going pike fishing the last week of may. ill be goin to silver lake near perth... what techniques, colors, sizes do you all prefer...
im thinkin ill stic my my tried and true
spinner baits (black.blue mix, white, red)
buz bait ( i have an amazing black and oange 1 that i go to)
and the always potent tube jig...when there on the bottom
i also hear good things abot spoons (daredeil and 5 of diomands seem to be loved...i have some but havent had a much sucess)
i also have had limited sucess with inline spinners and bucktales
any tips on sizes? colours? or jsut what u like to use would be great...

Big bucktails (orange & black, orange & black!!!), Bomber Long A's (worked for me last May on Charleston) and a nice-sized beetlespin tipped with a large plastic grub or shad in natural colors. I like the hammered finish on the spin blades over the smooth. Gives a bit more flash and flutter, I think.

Try spinner baits early and as search baits. More colourfull will get more hits, though you will want to change a few times to see what works.
Stick baits should be in the 4-6" range the fish are going to be off the spawn, and will feed aggressivly.
Try spoons, aswell as some bigger in line spinners say from a 3-5 Mepps, and bucktail on them doesn't hurt either.
