Another rewarding day on Constance Lake

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Another rewarding day on Constance Lake

Post by UGLYSTICK9 »

Me, YFF and two other friends headed out at the regular 9:30 this morning to hit Constance Lake. And what can I say it was a beautiful day to be out on the ice. It was one of the days that you wish you hadn't spent $300 dollars on an ice hut last week :D . But hey I'm not complaining I was in it all day. It was an overall great investment.

Here is the bad boy

The award for the most fish goes to..................... YFF
For the first time ever yay good job mikey. He ended up wit 8 fish.
Here his biggest of the day

A friend that we introduced to ice fishing I'm sure will want to come back again he caught 5 fish including 1 and a half pike  He was fooling around with the rod then tyler stole it back with a fish on

Here's the one he got full credit for.

NOTE: That is party mix on the pike that he threw all over my new hut and the fish in the moment of catching a nice pike :)

And well the least fish go to Tyler and I. But I think he passes me because he got to reel up a pike.

But I got one nice fish on the day a perch weighing in at 0.9 ounces and inbetween 11 and 12 inches.

It was an awesome day and it's always good to introduce fishing or ice fishing to a friend.:D

Anyone use a fly rod today?

yeah it was a great day!!

My best day on the ice this year- 7 perch 2 pike. No fly-rods..wouldnt fit in the clam

The pike I caught were tiny- they mesured 14 inches each.

Today was the day of losses: tyler lost 2 pike and a crappie, david lost a huge pike and I got my line snapped(too much tension on ole 4 lb trilene) and I could feel it wasnt another dinky pike.

The thing I love about constance lake is that something is always biting

Better stick to fly fishing :D

yeah it was a good day...a little slow in the clam though, except for the pike and the fish we lost. UGLYSTICK9 and I werent cathching too much, but even though we only got a few, they were still nice. my pike was about 17", and i caught 2 ok perch(outside).

It was a fun day in all, and the clam made it alot better, just being warm, as well as fishing at the same time.
