Your biggest Bass of 2005

Post by Mike Lennox »

Hey all,

I've noticed that cabin fever is at an all-time high here. Soi taunt you more  Everyone post a pic of their biggest bass here.

Here's mine: I was a bay at black lake where I was expecting to catch the regualar 1-2 lb lm bass. I fished a large rock where there was a buoy and I picked up this bad-boy 8). Not too sure about the weight but I mesured it and it was 18.5 inches. I broke my scale earlier in the day when I fell out of my kayak standing up and it came with me. When I reeled it in there was another fish about the same size following it.

here's a pic of her vertically...not huge but she put up a great fight on my 5 weight fly-rod.

Image

horizontal...you can see the fly in the cheek of the fish-

can't wait to see everyones :D

My biggest smallmouth to date. I was fishing in a tournament and it helped place second. However it was only the third biggest fish of the day. It weighd 5 1/4 pounds. The one in my right hand is 3 3/4.

Caught on a drop shot rig tipped with a minnow in a lake in Renfrew county. What a fight.. my wrist was throbbing afterwards and he swam away like there was nothing to it.

Man, now I'm even more pumped for the season to begin!! Heading to the Spring Fishing Show this coming weekend. Will be stopping at BPS also, so I'm sure some new bassin' toys, especially the flipping variety, will be making there way back to Ottawa...

Good Fishing,
Justin

Nice fish guys...

My big bass '05

Lake Simcoe is one of my regular lakes on my client tours. This was a pleasure non-biz fish I got in a T I do for fun. I thought it was a laker(common incidental catch that time of year) the way she dogged. 5lb fish can be regualry caught if you are on'em, this was gem in a school of those.

Image

This was the biggest bass over the gunnels in '05. Top 3 big bass were all SM, not too many 5+ largies this year. Luckily biggest largie boated was also in a T, cant complain when that happens!

Hope you beat yours PB's in '06 boys, Good luck.
