Fishing Gouin - Nemio River

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Thanks snip. I'll have my portable 4 year old Lowrance X-85 along with me to help determine where to fish. I use a 35 amp-hour battery with it and its good for a week at 10 hrs per day. I have the transducer mounted on a 5D698 Tite-Lok transducer holder - see http://shop.titelok.com/

I would like to put my word on the fishing around River Nemio, I owned a camp there for 10 years, and those 10 years were my best fishing years. I was going up there 5-6 times a year for a total of 30 days on the Gouin and I can tell you the Gouin is the most beautiful lake to fish and also to appreciate the beauty of the nature and the sunset etc... I sold my camp for personnal reason but I always got a pinch on my left side when I think of all the marvellous time I had over there. Once you know the area it is so easy to put fish in the boat, that after a while you realise that there is a lot more to look around then just fishing and catching fish after fish. For sure the best time is from the 19th of June till end of August (pike are also a lot bigger after feeding all summer).
After all that saying I think I will send a e-mail to MCQ and find out if there is any place left for me.
