I just got one of these for Christmas and was wondering if anyone else who has one has any tips on what software to get or any tips on using it.

I am going to be loading up the Topo Canada software onto my computer and downloading it to the unit. But I believe this doesn't give alot of the lake details ie. shoals and structure? Do I need the inland lakes software to get this detail?

I just bought a Garmin 76CX and loaded some of the Topo maps on it...

If you want Lake details I believe that you'll have to get the Garmin BlueChart S/W...

Yes I did see the blue charts s/w on-line. I was looking around at different products for the Garmin and they have microSD cards pre loaded with lake and river details for different sections of ontario but they are $320. It would be nice to have that is for sure but I may just buy the s/w and a programmable microSD card and load up the info I need.
