RECOMENDATIONS ON FISHFINDR?????

which fishfinder is better for determining baitfish really high in the water column and fish that are on the bottom. Is it the X515 or will the X136 do the same. I troll for mooskies in St. Clair.
Is the Garmin GPSmap 172c a good unit with the map chips, and which map chips are good? Are the 3d map chips with bottom contour any good?
