Seem to have a few of them out of the hull :? Was given a price and told the floor had to be taken up to replace them :?: Is this true or can they be replaced from the bottom of the hull itself.

Thanks in advance

I just did it.... I replaced about 20. I used the closed ended rivets (the guy called them aircraft rivets). I did it from the bottom as I have a floor in my boat as well. I just drilled the old ones out and popped a new one in and sealed it up with some silicone. That was at the start of the summer and she has been bone dry.

relic, try (tec-n-tec) website they have the waterproof(aluminum shank) rivets you need.the same ones i gave to scooter that he has in the pics and you don't have to take out the floor.they work well the only thing is use one size bigger than the original rivet if the hole has become oversized (redrill the hole)to larger diameter rivet.allan.c
