winterizing boat motor

Hi:I Am winterizing boat motor myself for the first time. It is a 90hp Mercury 4 stroke. I have changed the oil in the lower unit as well as the motor. I have added fuel stabilizer to tank and have greased all fittings. Is it necessary to fog the engine. There is no mention of doing this in manual, yet most boat dealers say it is necessary. What are your thoughts?
