Take a look at the law suits against many of these "oil addative" products and you'll soon realise they're a scam. The only addative i use is a fuel injector cleaner with each oil change. it's not something i use on the merc but stay clear of and oil addatives... quality oils changed on a regualr basis is ideal.ady wrote:Another topic could be oil additives, I have never heard of anyone using them on boat engines but there are numerous brands on the market - any thoughts here???
I change my lower unit oil and engine oil once a year in the fall... twice a year if i'm using it a lot. For the likes of markus who are on the water more than at home changing oil more frequently is a good idea.. oil is cheap compared to motor parts.
