Walleye Time!

Well it's that time of year again...

I managed to get out for a quick wade on the Jock R. Sunday for some toothy critter action. While I was forced to fish earlier that I typically like to for eyes, it was fun none the less to be on the water. The river is running about 17" higher than normal for this time of year. Given that I forgot my wading staff I was not able to fish one of my favorite spots. In any case, I did manage to land a nice 20" eye, a positive sign for furture wades. ;-)

Also for those that frequent the Jock, it appears as though the blocks for the weir at Hearts Desire are not going to be installed this seaon. It will be interesting to see how this affects the quality of fishing upstream. :-)

Great stuff Todd, a 20'' eye is one quality fish that's for sure!!!

I've also been told that some nice eyes have been landed below Hog's Back as well.

This is probably a good time to remind everyone of the new slot limit for FMZ 18. Must be between 40-50cm (15.7 - 19.7 in). Don't want to see any members find themselves on the wrong side of the slot. Good fishing everyone.

Don't have to worry...it's all F&R! ;-)
