Hey all, Float here, aint been on in a bit, but some of ya will remember the Floatman

I was recently informed, my Stepfather joined the local club. He is a newbie, though an avid fisherman, and all round a father to me for many yrs, I was hopin I could call in a favor (Without him knowing) Could anyone involved, maybe just take him under thier wing for me, I moved from Ottawa to Bowmanville las yr, and I guess he just joined the club recently.

I'm not asking for special treatment, just if anyone wanted to help a newbie out, maybe take Keith out for a lesson or 2??

I would pay back the favor in spades if anyone was ever to hit the East tribz round the Willy or Bowmanville, Port Hope, etc, I'd be happy to take anyone out in my neck of the woods.

My Pop's name is Keith Wickens, great guy, loves to talk

He is really excited about this new endevour, and I just thought I'd ask here if anyone could maybe take him as a close friend, in lew of Float being there.

Many thx:

T.L, F.F

Hey Floatfishin,

As a former member (I moved away last fall), I can say without hesitation that if your stepfather likes to talk, he'll fit right in.....

I'm sure that some of the OFS members who regularly post here will welcome him in if they already haven't.

No-one likes to talk about flyfishing more than me. Have your dad PM me and I'll be happy to take him out. I think my email address is on my profile.

FF,

Not a problem. We're actually working to set up a mentoring program for new members whether they're just new to the local waters or new to fly fishing in general. I'll also be coordinating the evening fishing program where OFS members and any other interested parties meet one evening a week for some social fishing, and novices can pick up pointers, etc.

Cheers,
Todd
