Just starting out in the fly tying game and sure need some pointers or lessons!!
Does anyone know where I could get some practical hands on help to get me over the hump of knowing almost nothing and give me a foundation to get started on a good winter pastime and be ready for the soft water.
I am located in Stittsville but don't mind to drive a bit
Thanks

The fly shop Float Paddle & Fly is close to Stittsville, and they offer fly tying courses for people starting out. They are also willing to give pointers as they have a large table in the back where you can go to practice tying.

The Ottawa Flyfishers Society has a fly tying night the third Tuesday of every month. It is a good place to learn with a bunch of other people. You might want to check it out.

There was a post a couple days ago about the regular OFS meeting which is coming up this Tuesday (first Tuesday of the month).
