Lakes on your HIT LIST this year

Every year I try to add some new lakes to my list. Last year I added Lake Nosbonsing, Trout Lake (by Noelville), and the Upper French River.
Lake Nosbonsing and the Upper French were winners, while I was disappointed with Trout Lake (I had wanted to fish it for years, and was not only disappointed with the fishing, but also the make-up of the lake).
This coming season I want to add: 1.) Lake Talon, 2) North Channel\McGregor Bay, 3) Tomiko Lake, 4) Charleston Lake, and 5) The Ottawa River near Arnprior.
What's on your wish list?

Hi Bear. I fish Lake Nipissing every year, and I hope you get a chance to experience it too. There's alot of water to disect in the lake, so don't get frustrated if you don't knock 'em dead immediately...once you get to know the water better, you'll want to keep going back. I got lucky and caught a 20 lb musky at the West Arm on my first trip to the lake; I was hooked! You also mentioned the Ottawa River above Deep River....I originally wanted to hit that section of the river too, but I heard the musky fishing is much more consistent down near Arnprior (but the water is not as pristine). Good luck where ever you go this coming season.

Any new lake I haven't fished before would be something to look forward to. I usually manage to get to 1 or 2 new lakes year. Last year it was Devil and I want to go back & explore more (most of it will still be "new" to me).

And after hearing all the great reports, I want to try the Ottawa River, as well. Crotch Lake still ranks high on my list, too.

I fished Talon lake for 2 days straight (just about) 2 summers ago and found the structure to be disappointing; minimal weed beds, not many flats, very steep shore gradient. That said, it was right in the middle of a mayfly hatch so that could have been a problem - no shortage of natural forage for the fish.

we spent a week fishing the Deep River section of the Ottawa River, and it was some of the toughest fishing ive ever experienced.

the weather conditions were perfect for fishing as well....

Interesting topic...Most of my big trip fishing is already booked and associated with the annual trip home. We're stopping at Cochrane, Jellicoe and Kenora on the way, plus once there we'll be fishing the Sask River/Tobin Lake and Jan Lake; both for eyes and pike.

Also I have to spend a few weeks in Winnipeg MB for training: once in the spring and again in the fall (Gee - you'd almost think I planned that around Red River cat and walleye fishing; or was that Lake of the Woods Musky and walleye...or maybe both :D ...it's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it  )

Local waters I'd like to explore in detail:

1. The lower (Arnprior) sections of the Head Pond - so far all of our fishing has been above Claybanks at the Stewartville end
2. Buckham's/Constance Bays - they're so close and I've fished them so little
3. White's Lake - I went there with Hoser once and loved the lake, I want add it too my list of regulars
4. Clayton Lake or another LM spot with consistent action other than Appelton
5. The lower Mississippi R in between Hwy 17 and Galetta - always meant to drop Leaky Lou in there - it looks soooooo bassy

Multiple Day trip lakes:

1. Norcan Lake
2. Madawaska R (ivo Burnstown)
3. Wendover for Bass/Musky
4. Muskrat

Weekends:
1. Upper Ottawa
2. Trout Lake
3. French River
4. Qunite
