Hi Everyone,

I am trying to find a frog lure that has a hard body and removable rubber legs. It is my understanding that various leg attachments can be purchased as well. If anyone knows who makes it or where I can pick it up, could you please let me know?

Those arethe frogs with the Bungy Legs....I know whre to get them ihere in Ottawa for sure.....not sure about your neck of the woods though.

They look like great baits but unfortunately they are not weedless.

Sorry, I can't find anything like that in the catalogs I've got kickin' around the house. The one you show is pretty odd looking, but I don't doubt for minute it might tempt some big old hawg out of the pads!

I'm assuming you're talking about the Bungee Frogs - I'm sure I saw them at Wal-Mart and Crappy Tire. I'll be picking some up myself for pike this spring.

Hey Sask..they are definately the bungee frogs

Abroghast (a Pradco company best known for making Jitterbugs , Sputterbuzz and hula Poppers) makes a hard frog bait that has rawhide legs dangling out the back. They cast as well or better than sumo Frogs or Rubber Rats etc and the single hook is very large and is positioned to have a high rate of hookup even in the slop. They always land right side up and actually work exceptionally well. Sort of a case of somthing old is new again. That said they are VERY hard to find. I have 2, a white one and a chartruse one and i bought them both at the same place about 2 years apart. If you are in Longpoint, a place where they have a great application, try Rotton Ronnies bait and tackle. That is the only place i've ever even seen them. Snidley

The hook placement will kill this lure and hang it up in the weeds... they should have designed that diferently

Saw those frogs today at Le Baron in Mississauga. They look very good but i would say they are too heavy and small to be good in the slop. They are small dense baits and I bet they would hang up or even penetrate the slop. Bass under a mat usually need a big target to locate when they're under all that vegetation. As a pooper for clear water near the slop or over submerged veg they definitly look like the ticket. I do well in the summer with bunggee worms so i know they like the smell and action of Berkley bungee product. Regards Snidley

Yah the berkley power/bungee frogs turning up at most stores such as canadian tire. Anyone get a chance to use these yet or is it just new???

An Up Em', try some soft plastic topwaters also, those little fake frogs are super cheap and if you rig them right you can have great frog action.

The only frog I own is a little rattling one, with hooks in the front, that catches nothing but weeds, so I'll get a few of these and test them all! My tackle closet deserves them! haha

Do yourself a favor and try a frog like this...



You will notice how the hooks curl up and stay away from the weeds... this allows you to work the lure right over the mats of weeds and lily pads.

Trust me you will get more fish with a lure like this style. Oh yeah... and hang on to your rod real tight....
