Fishing Jack Lake?

Can anyone tell my any tips and tricks for ice fishing Jacks lake? I am heading out their this weekend and its my first soft water experiance on this lake. I will be targeting perch and crappie.
Also is their bluegills in this lake?

Hey Curtis, I hope you meant hard water, coz' there is ice the last I heard. That's if you're referring to the one in Apsley?
If so, yes there's an assortment of species there, including bluegills, bass, walleyes, and muskie. Watch out for those OOS species...a quick release would be needed.
Light line, small jigs, and pinheads should work for everything there.
The perch there are very small, but are fun to catch for the kids.
The crappies should be suspending 1-5 ft above bottom, and they are fun to catch and eat. Don't pull too hard, else you'll rip their "paper mouths".

Good to hear that theres lots of small perch, im taking a beginner and that should keep him busy...

Better drill a big hole with all the muskies in there........
