Is there a way to do it, or can I just throw it in the machine?

I would just let it drip dry too! Might shrink too much in the dryer :!:

Actually, sorry, I think the "shrinkage" is in the pool :!:

Sorry. you need a Seinfeld mind for that one :!:

I've got the same make of hat (Fersten) at work and it gets really dirty so I wash them every week or two. If it's really dirty I smear liquid laundry detergent on it first and let that soak in for 'bout an hour. Then throw it in the laundry and I'm good to go. I find it's more comfortable after the first wash anyway. And like WIG said, let it air dry 'cause they will shrink.

Thanks guys, I'll try it now. Bacon I thought about the dishwasher but I didn't want to upset her! Actually we don't use it anymore with the kids gone, or I would have tried it.

Hey FFF, not sure but I think if you want the 2 front panels where the insignia is to stay stiff, you might be better to hand wash with liquid laundry soap, then hang to dry. I know that's what my son does with all his hats. Take care and catch you later.

Cheers UL

I'd go with the machine...

But then again I tend to use the dishwashing machine. Don't ask why I was told to do this as a kid and have always done so and have had no problems with my hats fading.

Bowzog does it the Wash'n'Wear way. He washes it in the washing machine, then puts it on his head to dry. Well, sort of. If you put it on your head while it's still damp, you can shape it to your preference. 8)
