Manitoba Catfish?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Post by Tonyb »

Anyone fished the Red River around Winterpeg for catfish? I am looking for information on guides, boat rentals , accomodation etc. Planning a get together this spring with a few buddies and 20lb. plus catfish are on the menue. Appreciate any information as planning helps me get through this winter.

Let me know what you find out! I just landed a new customer last week based out of Winnipeg! I'll be packing a rod for those visits. :P

You can contact Eric Thienpndt at www.birchpointoutfitters.com in Winnipeg MB. Tell him Dan sent you.

I've fished the Red often with Eric when I lived in Manitoba, if anybody knows how to catch Cat on the Red, it's him.
