Who's your favorite Pro? (Fisherman that is)

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Who's your favorite Pro? (Fisherman that is)

Post by Gordo »

I was watching Real Fishing with Bob Izumi today (who just happens to be my favourite Pro) and I thought this would be an interesting topic to bring up. So how about who's your favorite?

I used to be a cronzy fan because of his back slapping attitude, but having a growth in knowledge this year in regards to Ontario fishing, I can no longer tolerate his style or show repetes.

Personally, I like Pete Bowan. His friendly and fun personality is pleasure to watch. He speaks well on camera and teaches great fishing ettiquette and tecquines for the viewers. I can't wait for Pete to some day branch out and have his own show.

Bob I, is a close second.

I like Shelley. I mean Courtney. Actually, I don't really know which is which, so I'll have 'em both.

When I was out west one of our guides said they're two really great people. They'll need to be swingers though if you're gonna "have 'em both." :)

I gotta say that I used to love watching Bill Dance.... not so much for what he knew but because he didn`t edit his shows a lot and included his mistakes... liking falling out of boats... my personal favorite is when this damn black snake is trying to climb into his boat and he goes into this frenzy of whacko behaviour. Now that I can relate to.

Tim Horton is another favorite but for the life of me I don't know why?

Actually I love watching Mike Iconelli go get his fish... he reminds me that it is ok to talk to your fish.

Not that I really like his show all that much myself Markus I wonder if you and I have the same opinions about "his style." Just curious, but he is a strange duck sometimes.

Forgot to mention a couple of my own favorites

Bob and Wayne
Pete
Mark Pendlington (although he can be a little too intense)
and the two guys from "Sportfishing on the Fly" which is a show that seems to hard to find on the air at times.
