Anyone know Good Sites for Used Boats?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Post by iankrzyzanowski »

Looking for resources in my hunt for a new boat! I know of boat trader.ca and have found a few others!

I would like to get a bass boat of any make. Age doesnt matter, anything from around 1985 and up, but it has to be solid with everyhting working, electronics and motor especially!

I am willing to spend 8k, but that would max me out so anyhting under that would be much much better!

Bacon i know!! The stratos is nice, but i really really like that astro! Love the colors and the loook! Its justa little out of my price range after paying the 6% taxes and the coming across the border!

Othrwise i would be all over that astro like a fly on .. well you know!

The biggest problem is bringing them across the border! Prices before all the travelling and taxes etc are within range, but after you factor that stuff in, its all over!

And its unfortunate, the majority of the bass boats i have foudnd are all in the states

Ian ...what you have to do is get the seller down in price to make it possible for you. At this time of year the buyer holds the power..don't be afraid to lowball!

Boat buying sites

Post by Seaweed »

Here are some of the places I used to drool ... err watch for good used boats Ian.

www.ebay.com
www.iboats.com
www.bigfatbass.com
www.basscanada.com
www.boatforsale.ca
www.autotrader.ca

I found the one that are bolded most helpful and informative

I loved doing the scrapbook at autotrader and you know what we have someone who visits this site often who works there who offered to help me find somthing... which was cool.

I can not say this often enough buddy...... take your time and make an informed decision. I asked a lot of questions and when I made up my mind I was happy with what I got.... only thing I would have done different with my Nitro would have been to ensure that I had twin livewells and I probably would have preferred something longer than the 16 footer I have.... not that I act like it is a sixteen footer... just nice to have the extra legroom.

That Astro is a very sweet looking boat .... and a bargain to boot. The border crossing shouldn`t be a big hassle.... nice eye candy always wins
