I usually make the show.... although in my personal opinion the one in Carp is a much better show... but I hit them both. That time of the year... anything that says outdoors fun is good enough for me... it gets me in the mood to get fishing.
See you there.
Fish-Hawk.net sets up a booth usually at one of the shows.... last year it was the Carp show but I have seen them at the other one too.

I usually go, just to look at the boats and see if there are any deals on fishing gear, but then Carp has a much better show and better deals. We're lucky if there will be 4-5 tackle shops there this year.......At the Ottawa one

Definitely going to the Ottawa one. It is a Spring time ritual for the last 15 yrs for my son and I. I've heard alot about the Carp one so I might try and take it in this year. Anyone been to the one in TO. What is it like? Is it worth the trip when we have the two of our own?

I haven't been to the Ottawa Boat and Sportsman Show in quite a few years. Was to disapointed the last time I went. I think the Carp show is better.

For those with any interest in fishing Quebec, just a reminder that there is an annual Gatineau Outfitter Show too. No entry fee and plenty of free parking. Last year, 15 of the 28 outfitters plying their trade in the Gouin Reservoir were there.

Thanks Steve but that's actually not the show I was thinking about. I went to the TO Sportsman Show last year, but this year I will be in TO for a weekend in February and I think that's when the "Spring Fishing Show" is usually held.

Bunk- did you miss the second link? That's the GOOD show.
Like many others, I'll be at the Carp show and the Spring Fishing Show at the International Centre, but will pass on the Tor. Sportsman's show and probably the Ottawa Show. They just can't compete any more when it comes to fishing.

If you are into fishing, the Toronto Sportmans Show sucks. $11.00 dollars or so for parking alone is a killer.I for one will never go there again. Sure there's a lot of stuff to see but when it comes to fishing it realy demished in the last few years and thats because there is the Spring Fishing Show at the International Centre where the parking is free and it's all about Fishing, no matter what kind of fishing you do. A lot of the Dealers going there now cause it's less expensive for the setup and it's getting bigger every year. In December, early next month, there is an Ice Fishing Show at the same place. All the newest Stuff, Portables and Electronics and so on, now thats the Show I won't miss.
Can't wait for the hardwater

may today be your best fishing ever
