Hey boys and girls.... :D

Gordo and I planned for an evening muskie fish tonight...meeting me at my regular pick up spot....and away we went....

We decided to pick up a few suckers in case of a pesky follower that may pop one of our suckers thrown back at him....glad we did!

First fish ate a red/white ReefHawg....muskie for RJ....34 incher...nice start... :D

34 incher....

Gordo decided to sit and have a bite to eat......eating a sandwich watching me cast he drops the sucker into the water rigged with a quick strike rig... ...off the edge of a little dropoff.....backs the drag off and sits back and we continue shootin' the breeze....zzz.zzzz...zzzzzzzzzzzzz....off goes the drag on the ABU....Gordo picks it up....tightens up the drag....sets the hook....Fish On!....I get the net ready which is kept under the deck of my boat...(very superstitious about that)....fish is staying down....I catch a glimpse of it...."it's a small skie Gordo"....I get another glimpse....white tip on the tail on this glimpse!..."giant eye Gordo!...don't lose this bad boy!"....into the net she slid... :D

Supertanker!...Nice one Gordo!

We decided to ask a few guys on shore for a scale....I guessed around 12.... :D ....no luck....they snapped a pic for us together....

Final tally?...31.5 inches...on the scale...11.5....by far the fattest walleye I have ever seen.....I'm guessing that's what Gordo's taxidermist will say too...

Congrates Guys! Nice fish for the wall gordo. Those measurements are nearly identical to the one I just took to the taxidermist. Hopefully we'll have them both ready by the time the ice fishing event roles around and we can compare and show the workmanship of them off there.

Nice work fella's!

Great job guys. I used the same technique at last years muskie gathering on the rideau to get myself a 7lb eye.

FFF,

I've always kept it under there until we had a fish on....then twice in a row Gordo lost a fish....after losing the fish we left the net out...and never saw another fish for the day...I've never had a fish hooked with the net in plain view....   ...that's why it's under the deck...always!
