This is my first time actually using this forum. Just want to say I think it's great. Good people, great tips, and lots of fishing! Who needs more?
Anyway my problem is this is my fist season actually muskie fishing. I bought all the gear, hit the water hard, but NO fish to show for it. Lots of hits right in sight, plenty of follows with no bite.
I was just looking for any tips as to trolling speed, lure selection, top water for this time of year, or anything that might help me land one of these great fish before falls end.

First of all ...WELCOME to the board!! I'm not much of a Muskie man ,but there are plenty of members of this board that are!!! You may want to join the guys On the rideau river Oct 30.... they will be targetting Muskie , there will be a lot of Muskie guys there on this get together, Im sure that all your questions will be answered there....plus you get to go out and see there advise in action...check out this link

I am also a newbie to the board and and I must say that I Love It, its fishin all the time!!!

Clam Man stick in there and tuff it out. The most consistent trolling speeds for me are from 3.5 to 4.5 mph down to 2mph when the water is close to freezing. Lure selection should be a bait you have confidence in I like Jakes Depthraiders and Tripple Ds. As the water cools look for fish near river mouths.
