Hard water 2020

Hi all (at least the folk's i know), my apologies for not getting on the board more but sadly, I didn't even put a rod in the water this season. That said, the ice season is just around the corner. Looks like a good chance it will be an early start this year!

I found this pic of Shirley's bay from last year in my phone.... This is from Dec 18 2018, the ice looks to be about a full month of development ahead from last year:

Did anybody else see the 2 guys ice fishing on the Jock River at Twin Elm bridge, back on Saturday, Nov. 16? I definitely did a double-take as I drove by! Couldn't believe my eyes! Lol

And by "at Twin Elm bridge", I don't mean that they were standing on the bridge jigging Lol. They were both on the ice....
I talked to someone else who saw them out there even earlier in the week, like Wednesday.

5 inches of solid black ice in front of the lodge that day, I don't see the problem
Now if they were DRIVING on LOL.

itching to go. I've watched way too many youtube videos of people on early ice with 3 inches. 5 inches + was what I was waiting for.
I bet those guys on constance got into some.

Couple of buddies were on 5" today on a shallow bay on the Miss.
If anyone is wondering Silver Lake, drove by this afternoon looked like it's starting, driving to Peterborough Thursday it was WIDE open
