Awesome article !

I've always wanted to know, but MNR would not give me a clear answer. What happens should you accidentally hook a bass out-of-season, while fishing for panfish or even Pike is late May ? Of course I would get it back in the water asap...but I'm always a little paranoid.

Any insights ?

You do exactly what the book says. Release it immediately, change tactics, move.
