Portable fishfinder battery

I bought a small 12V battery and a few guys I've shown didn't know they existed so I thought I'd put it out here for portable owners.

Measures 6"x3"x4", weighs about 2lbs, fits inside the portable and is rechargeable with a regular charger. No more throw away batteries so better for the environment and lasts much longer. Costs about $40, so doesn't take long to pay for itself.

Hoser,

Where did you get the battery? I'm looking for a back up for my Vexilar for icefishing season.

That's what happens when I post before the sun comes up and I'm fully awake...forget important details. Got it at Le Barons. Seeing as you are a neighbor, PM me and I'll loan it to you for a while to see if you like it.

There is a second chioce for paddling anglers now, thanks to Bombardier, and there SeaDoo Dolphins, we ahve a cheap rechargable battery that just happens to be 12v. I have seen them at Canadian Tire for around $30.00, I am going to need it next year when I install my fishfinder in the yak.

:) I use a coleman rechargeable battery booster to power 12v stuff on my boat. You can tap the power via the plug in cigarette lighter. After the excursion, bring the thing home and power it up for the next time.

They run $40 to $60. Great for small, light boats.
