Don't know much about Walleye Fishing, but after reading Big Jims Blog about the Walleye are in the SHALLOW at this time of the year !!
Ding, Ding, Ding = Success
Threw around some thundersticks and perch pattern jerkbaits in the shallow flats..... Depth varied from two to five feet !!

Water temp was 60 degrees in the middle, 61 to 64 in the shallow

Fish were caught between 6 and 7 pm with a slight north west ripple on the surface. We simply drifted in to the flats and began casting landing 7 walleye in under a hour or so.
