open seat for a relaxing fish Monday June 15th

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

open seat for a relaxing fish Monday June 15th

Post by almontefisher »

If anyone is interested in either hitting up Miss Lake or Appleton for either some gators and walleye or even pan fish I am taking Monday off and want to take the new boat out for a fish. I am tentative right now so if there is any interest let me know.

I took the day off work and was going to do work around the house but the wife is gone with kids for a few days so I decided to fish instead. Sounded like a better plan. Lol

Well looks like I have the pleasure of taking out a new guy on the site. Harpee61. Harpee mentioned to me that he usually shore fishes so a nice couple of hours on Mississippi lake in the big lake should be a treat. Anyone able to message me or let me know how the eye bite has been in the normal spots this year. Narrows or the usual spots in the big lake. Have not been out for walleye since last year. Would like to boat a few for harpee.

Don't need details just good slow bad on fire will do. I know the areas well.

Cheers

Hey Pete,
Roughly what part of the lake are you going to be at? I might be out Monday evening too. Not sure if I have to work late or not. I am docked at McCreary's Beach so I will be around the Big Lake area. Blue and white Princecraft 164 with a 75 merc on it. If you see me pop over and say hi. ;)
Cheers,
Dave

hey Dave: Im not sure if we will still be on the water in the eve. We are heading out for around 10am and finishing up around 2 or so. We could stay out longer if the fishing is good and I am sure if it is good it wont be hard to convince anyone to stay out an extra few hours..lol.

So looks like I have another person wanting to join for the day so I will also be bringing slowleg out..lol. yes that is his handle but I hope his net skills arnt to slow. Anyway I thank all that have pmed me with info for the big lake area and it has been what I expected to hear. Common spots are producing and walleye are ranging from small to medium. All I hope for is at least one walleye boated for Harpee and slowleg and maybe a nice couple of pike can be caught.

Im not sure if it is going to be hot or not but bring some drinks and snacks with you just in case. I have a storage spot for that stuff now..lol. I love having a new boat!! 8)
