Sad thing all this. It's been going on for years. Not just on the Lake Winnipeg system but on the Bay of Quinte the Fraiser River and a myriad of other water systems. The rape,( Yes I'll use inflamitory words) of the environment will continue. The native fishery is only one aspect of this problem. Look at any large strip mining operation or any smelting operation or even half of the countries so called sewage treatment plants and you'll understand the depth of the problems the enviroment faces.
Our planetary ecosystem is under siege by those who feel that bigger, cheaper, easier, access to consumer goods and the almighty dollar come before every other concern. Lets face it folks, do you and I want to give up our SUV's, air conditioning, microwave ovens, outboard motors etc.?
I don't think so. Give it some thought.

Those pic's sicken me. I can feel that rage starting. Isn't there anything people like us can do collectively to curtail netting? There were so many muskies in those nets.

That's disgusting. More people need to vigilant and report things like that to CO's. I'm going to show that to Jerry Oulette, the Conservative Critic for Natural Resources for Ontario. He has a cottage near my family's and he or his wife is up there just about every weekend. Dalton McLiar and the Liberals certainly don't want to see or do anything about this.

People who do that deserve to be taken out behind the barn and shot (not literally, but you know what I mean). There's no sense for that, other than people who are driven by nothing but greed.

I'm not real happy about it, but I gotta play devil's advocate.

Let's assume (just for fun) that this net belongs to someone with authorization to use a net (native american, licensed commercial business man, whoever).
When you get that many fish in a net, what will it attract? ... more fish.

Here's me not being very happy about it  . But before I start cutting people's nets, I'd dig just a little deeper. :? One for the COs me thinks.
