Hello Fellow Anglers,

Ottawa Valley South Bassmasters will be holding its May meeting Monday 5th, 7 pm at the Ottawa Citizen Building on Baxter Road (behind Ikea).

This will be our FINAL MEETING for accepting new members for the season. If you’ve always wanted to get into a fun and learning based fishing organization then now is your chance. Come down and meet the members and see what we’re all about.
A truly incredible season is in store for our chapter and it’s members. Last year OVSB was awarded the host duties for the 2014 Hank Gibson Provincial Qualifier. A 2 day event to be held on Big Rideau Lake August 23 & 24. Our Chapter’s organizing committee has been working hard for more than a year to make this event a success.
For more information on this event and Ottawa Valley South Bassmasters go to http://www.ottawabassmasters.com and check us out.

For full details on all of our great sponsors for the 2014 Hank Gibson Provincial Qualifier go to http://ontariobass.com/tournament/provincial-qualifier/

Hope to see you all there.

Thanks.

Tim

This really is a great club to be a part of!
Whether you're a avid fisherman looking to get a taste of what tournament fishing is all about or a Newby looking to wet a line and understand the in and outs of this sport we love, this club has a chair for you.

Some of the perks:

-Being a B.A.S.S member and part of this club means you'll receive Bass Times magazine.
-Participating in the fishing events put on by the club for the kids, veteran and teens. (Giving back to the communities !!)
-Tournament fishing + the pre-season multi-species tournament.
-The low cost entry fees for tournaments. ( Might want to mention this one to your wife Adam)
-The opportunity to register as a non-boater and still get a taste of tournament fishing.
-Be part of a functioning club that prides itself on running a tight ship. *With the possibility of becoming part of the volunteer staff that help put it all together.
-The monthly out-of-season meetings where we discuss the in's and out's of club business and cabin fever remedies.
-Members vote on what lakes to fish and dates.
-Club member rebates from our sponsors.
-Tim gives out free hugs at the door.

I'm on my second year with this club and I love the format, Non-boaters mixed in with boaters, you really do learn a lot in a days fishing.
With the club growing at a steady rate (30+ members if I recall correctly) you'll surely feel at home once you get to know the guys (and gals!)
See you Monday @7!
