I don't think so, but it might depend on where you plan on putting it or if you’re going to be moving it all the time.

Happy fishing.

It would probably depend on the individual CO and how he interpets the rules

In my area two of the CO's say they must be a tent entirely made of fabric and cant be left on the ice unatended

I was checking in regard to one with plywood floor and ends and a tarp roof and sides this is when I was told it had to be entirely made of fabric.

Some CO's know what is portable, and some would crawl across a mile of broken glass to give their mother a ticket
I love golf it keeps thousands of unworthy off the water

What I received from the Kemptville MNR is this.

If the structure is permanetly located on the same lake though out the season it needs to be registered.

If it is a form of permanent shack i.e wood etc and is not easily moved it is classed as a permanent shack.

If the shack is less than 100lbs and requires no permanent footings it is a portable.

The registration number will need to be called in any time you move to a new lake with a registered shack.

Now as we say all the time ask 3 CO's this question today and again in a week and see if the answers are the same.
Fishing isn't a matter of life and death....
It's much more important.

From the MNR Website

Tent-style ice huts made of cloth or synthetic fabric that have a base area of seven square metres (75.4 square feet) or less when erected do not need to be registered
