Dale MacNair with another St. Lawrence Giant......

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Wow, that's passion. I don't think I could handle catching 1 fish every 150hrs on the water. Good for him though. Great fish for sure.

Ummm... err.... The 55 measurement is crazy enough as it is... but the 27inch girth.

That is like... 2 inches bigger than 24/7's waist!!!

Serious belly beast.

... and RJ... Excellent interview. You have a future in this fishing thing. Keep 'er going. I enjoyed it thoroughly!

Thanks for sharing!!

A true fisherman. Doesn't hold back a detail, gear, location, lure, time.... he's a better man than I.

Dale has put in some serious time and effort for this fish. Well deserved monster. He's been at it for many weeks without even a bite and a lot of his fishing is done after dark so you can imagine how cold this last weekend was when he was out there for 4-5 straight days.

Now that's what a 27 inch girth looks like. That thing is insanely fat.

Good job Dale now get back out there you still have a week left in the season. :D

Congrats to Dale again for the second St. Lawrence monster.
Great job RJ in finding the story and putting it altogether in the blog.
I know you're still shaking your head, looking at the equipment all iced up, and seeing the photo of the monster.
How many guys on here would spend those hours out on the water, in these temperatures, to catch your fish of a life time?
Dale, you and Sal are strictly HARD CORE fishermen.
Thank for the whole story.

What an amazing fish. That's true dedication to the sport IMO. If you fish it, they will come.

I love to fish, but, WHY WHY WHY would anybody do that to themselves???
AND their best friend!! MANIACS I say!! PURE MANIACS!!

It's not even ice fishing for Pete' sake! No shack!! No heater!! Look at the ice on everything! And it`s dark! After four days of frigid fishing, I'd be WITH the girlfriend, INDOORS.

That being said, I'd not catch that fish. It's OK. Dale can have it. Congratulations to them. That is truly amazing. Amazing interview too.

Love it. WOW.
