Friday Night Pike

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Friday Night Pike

Post by PerchPredator »

Friday night marcthefisherman and I went out on his boat for a little bit of tiny lake fishing.
A few weeks ago he was nice enough to invite me out and it developed into good times so we've fished a few times since.....with no luck.

Sadly, I was a curse. The fish gods had not smiled upon us during our previous outings. I knew that this was my one last chance to catch some fish before being banned from the boat forever.

Luckily our fates changed that day and once the sun started going down the fish started hitting.

I pulled in the first one.

And the second one :D

AND the third one

Proving to Marc and myself that I was not destined to swim home it was time for me to be royally shown up

Marcs first

Second

This one got a little bloody after marc challenged me to a contest. First one to catch a pike with a spear wins. :D
Kidding obviously. This guy wasn't hurt at all...he shook it off fine

By this time MTFM had caught as many pike as me and some nice OOS bass (quickly released unharmed). Now that I had been put in my place he decided to rub it in a bit.

And a late night crappie for good luck

All in all a great night out on the lake, and I can't wait to do it again. Been having a great time fishin with Marc and he's teaching me quite a bit. Guess that's what FishHawk is all about.

Cheers,

Yeah not a bad luck charm but I think those fish were smaller than a banana... In a few years those guys will be caught by 24/7.

It's much more important.

LOL!
Certainly not the biggest fish ever, but the curse was broken and we got a few in the boat.
I'll take it for sure.

Very nice report. Sometimes I wonder why these hammer handles never grow in size in that small lake. Upsizing the lures didn't make a change.
