Good evening fellow Hawkers, Just a short note on some Brookies pulled from a good Brookie Lake. It started with a back breaking 2km bush wack portage with the canoe to get into the lake. Once on the lake had to find a decent spot for a camp site.

Now that the tent was up and the fire pit was made it was time to recce the lake and set up the flyrod. Didn't take long and the fish were on the fly.

Spent the evening with a good fire eating some of the days catch (old school)

With a early morning rise it was time for breakfest...Nothing beats fried Brook Trout in the morning.

All in all it was a trip with 9 brookies landed with the biggest being 17 inches a the smallest coming in at 11 inches.

Thanks for the report The Nipigon. I love reading posts from paradise in the morning to start the day. You may have convinced me to check out a spot for them this weekend if the bugs are not too bad.

Scum Frog, this is not a Bunk report :)

Thanks Troutbum, your going to be a little pee pee at this but all the specks were caught sitting in the brown fold up camp chair right beside the fire pit. I was throwing out 20ft of line...that's it. Dry flying and they where taking dark or light colours...
