The cats are heavy in the Nation River. Got about 20 this afternoon. Most were barely 1lbs, seems like the bulk of the big ones we were getting earlier this week have come and gone, but we did manage three that were between 4lbs and 4.5lbs. I made no effort to disguise the spot where we were so go nuts guys. Should be lots more cats to be had, and when the water clears up a bit like it was earlier this week, the diversity of species should come back. So far this spot has yielded: catfish, carp, perch, rock bass, pumpkinseed, sturgeon, and redhorse this year alone. Sheephead are still to come.
