This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Quinte ice

You would be wise to probably change your destination at least for a couple of weeks.

With the recent warm spell and the rain... the ice down there would be iffy at best.

Most of the good info on ice conditions would be found at http://www.quintefishing.com and from the latest reports not too many folks are venturing forth until we get a good cold snap.

reconsider your plans bud ..we have open water all along the long reach..huffs ..deseronto..and even hay bay would have eaten up shores making it hard to get out..i wouldn't recommend a trip down here yet.

The whole bay isn't bad, but most of it is.

We were catching decent eyes today on 7-8" of clear ice. Another spot has 10-14". You just have to do your homework and do a lot of checking.

Be safe and good fishing!
