SUPERBASS SERIES
Saw this and thought about the young and rising bass stars on FH.
Stay tunned for the new SUPERBASS SERIES with the finaly being the BERKELY B1 CANADIAN BASS OPEN!
In collaboration with WooDoo inc., is proud to announce a new series will be hitting the Bass fishing tournament scene! The SUPERBASS Tournament Series will launch the 2010 season with a bang by visiting 3 of the most popular bodies of water in Quebec. Here's the format from a high level...
Based on 50X teams:
3X Qualifying tournaments + 1 Classic (2 days)
June 20th - Lac St.Louis & Lake of 2 Mountains
July 18th - Lake St.Francis
August 15th - Ottawa River
Sept. 18th & 19th - (Body of water to be revealed at the last event by draw - 3 choices TBA)
Cost per team: 2K
Payout structure based on 50X teams locked in:
$5000.00 cash for first position. Payout to 10th place at $500.00 cash
Classic first prize = $12,500.00 cash
To all those who participated in the Berkley B1 Canadian Open, you will receive an e-mail directing you to SuperBass.ca for more information regarding sign up documentation etc. For those who did not participate in the B1, the SUPERBASS website will be up on Wednesday, Oct. 7th.
The Berkley B1 Canadian Bass Open will be moved to the first week of Oct. 2010. And will take place on Lake St.Francis....has 60 lbs. EVER been needed to win a 2 day tournament???? ARE YOU READY TO B the 1?

Looking at the payout structure, if my math is correct, looks like only 60% is going back in prize money? Am I missing something?

50 teams per event, (based on) at $2K per team.
thats obviously $100,000 in income (plus tourney sponsorship) for the series.
you then have 3 tournies at a $5,000 payout (then going down from there) plus a $12,500 "classic".
yes, something is up with the math...
but no one says ben is doing this for the good of his heart, he is a businessman.
