Hey all...

I'm looking for suggestions ie: make, model, best place to purchase (LeBarons, CTC??) etc for Portable fish finders. I have one mounted in the boat but want another for Kayak fishing. Looking to spend around $300.

Missed fishing the Madawaska last wk end because my fishing partner (14 yr old son) was sick. Make up for it tomorrow. He has PA day (already??) and I took the day off.

Tks all.

I've been using the Eagle320 portable for two years now but I mounted the sensor permanently on the boat and I use a single 12V batt which fits inside the case....

I have a Humminbird 565 I bought on sale last year. Overorall it's nice, but I have had some problems with it. Not sure if it's the battery or charger or what. I had the charger replaced and bought a new battery also.

I think I would probably look elsewhere, but this is my only experience. If I were to do it over I'd consider getting a Lowrance X96 and setting it up as a portable.
