Hi folks

Myself and a buddy were thinking of fishing the Rideau River tomorrow morning (mostly for bass, but wouln't be opposed to hooking into a musky or pike either) and I'm just looking for some advice on public boat launches in that area?

Last year I fished around the Barretts Rapids (not sure if that's spelled right) section of the river with a colleague of mine who owns a place out around there.

Now I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any public launches in that area? Isn't there a provincial park around there somewhere? Does it have a public launch that we could use? and id so, does anyone know what kind of shape it is is?

Alternatively, are there any other public launches that anyone knows of around that portion of the rideau river.

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!

There is a launch at Burritts but would advise against it if you have anything other than a canoe! It suxs!

There isn't a launch at the locks either. Closest is Smiths Falls area (Merrickville?) or go to Kemptville.
