Hey guys, so i'm back in ottawa for the weekend.

I managed to get out last week to see if i could entice a walleye to hit my deep diving Berkley Frenzy Shad.

within 10 minutes of getting to the spot i hooked onto to this guy or should i say girl. she was all spawned out.

again this is my first walleye out where i live now.

I'm heading back on tuesday, so hopefully i'll have another little report for your guys!!!

what i thought that left hander's here were in majority???

that's what it's all about. bait casting deep divers, man i can't wait to go back "home".

there's alot of BIG lakes out there. I found a person who rents out boats, 65$ per day on Sturgeon lake. good walleye and good musky apperently. so i might have to get into musky fishing....man this is going to be an expensive 2 years.....

but it's really really hard to find good shore fishing spots. as the fishing sanctuaries were still closed. they opened this weekend.

i'll be up at Fenelon Falls on tuesday night.
looks like a good spot.

Nice eye....and yes you are going to love your new 'digs'. Sturgeon is a great lake don't overlook Goose Bay for eyes and keep your eyes peeled for stumps!

Awesome!

I went to college in Lindsay, I have fond memories of catching Walleyes right at the locks in town. Helped to supliment my diet, as my intake of protein was quite lacking, what with all the beer and KD!

What worked me for me was a walking sinker behind a swivel, with about 2 feet of leader with a floating jig head tipped with big minnows.

Also caught some muskies there also!

Well done katch moore - your report brings back many happy memories. I used to fish Sturgeon Lake on a regular basis when I lived in Toronto - loved the area, particularly Fenlon Falls. When I first moved to Ottawa, my brother from the Windsor area used to meet me there every May 24th week-end - we always had a great time and many nice walleyes. Thanks for sharing.

yeah it's really a nice area. especially fenelon falls. those falls are sweet, i can't wait to see what's swimming down in that current.

yeah since i'm back in ottawa and got bit by the walleye bug, i gotta find me some toothy critters.

leaving tomorrow morning at 330 am!! hopefully to be a the "lake" by 530.

tuned up the daiwa supertuned rig the Berkley frenzy and i got a back up three way swivel with a hook for a worm if it slows down.

anyways looking forward to getting back to Lindsay to get some fishing done. maybe i might keep one for a snack. i haven't yet kept a walleye from the Lindsay area, so looking forward to their taste....mmmm wild garlic and walleye, can't go wrong!!
