Where to get boat cover?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Where to get boat cover?

Post by OBD »

Hey all,

Any recommendations on where to get a boat cover (waterproof travel cover) for a 16' bassboat single console? Budget is about $350. Nothing too fancy, just to keep the water out.

Also have a trolling motor in front so that has to be taken in consideration.

Any advice is appreciated

Canadian Tire has them on sale this week for $100 off. I just picked one up for my boat for 130 regular 230. They have sizes for all boats. It is actually pretty good quality too. Specially designed for trailering

Hey Nodie,

I'd second the above recommendation. Picked the same cover up at Canadian Tire last season - works like a charm. No problem with the trolling motor, either. Haven't trailered with it, but it is set up for that.

Sale runs until Thursday I believe....

If you are going with a CT tarp, check to see if the inside of the tarp has a "sticky to the touch" coating on the inside. This coating can take the polish off the top your boat when you drag the tarp along the finish while taking it on and off.

those sticky ones are really hard to put on too if the cover is tight to your boat...

CTC will have there other boat cover on sale which is a better product for a few bucks more. You can easily trailer with the cover on and is more durable than the one that is on sale. I speak from experience.

I have the cover from CTC . IT has been pretty good. I've had it for 4 years now and the only issue I had was a broken buckle on a strap which is easy to replace.
It travels well and is vented.
