Hi everyone, I like to share something with you of what hapened to me today, Sunday May 23th. I was visited by an Officer of the MNR at my Home today. He asked me about an Icehut that got left out on the Ice in 2003,not 2004 but 2003. (He thought it was mine but wasn't) anyway, as the conversation went on He asked me for my Driver License and the Outdoor Card. The Outdoor Card was good until the end of this year.
Because my (2004)Icehut was registered on my new address He found out that the Outdoor Card was still on the Old address and slapped me with a $250.00 Dollar fine for not having my address changed within a certain time limit. I think it is outrages.I could see him given me a fine while Fishing, but at Home??
Thanks for listening, had to let a little steam out

crazyhook, I wish i was,but this is serious stuff, here I am paying three years in advance so I don't have to think about all the time and than this.
If my Outdoor card would have expired last December He could could not have charged me right?? so why pay in advance?

For $250 I'd be fighting that one for sure!
How much time did he say you had to change the address on your card?
See you in court!

He stated that the time limit was just like the Driver License, I believe 10 days or so

Wow. have to say that bothers me a lot. $250!
Do you have any history? That just sounds so harsh. I've asked to have my card updated since I moved and also to have my gold "T" put on it for the turkey course I completed. They told me at the office when my current card ran out that they'd update it then.
I wonder if I'm at risk to this same B#llsh#t.
I'm still shaking my head. Sounds like a visit to the local office is in my near future.

Markus;
I wished I had a scanner so I could put it on the screen. Since I wasn't fishing a warning would have been in order and get it done in the time limit from today. Oh well, I'll let you Guys know what comes out of it.

Wow! I could never imagine a person doing something like this... I wonder how many flat tires this guy got in his career or how about broken bones

.
Sounds like he was really after you for some reason! To come to your door to talk to you about a fishing hut story from 2 seasons ago, and asking for ID and checking your associated addresses? sounds fishy.... you did not see any hidden camera's? How did he get your new house address if your card had the old address?
Gotta watch these guys, there in your face when you least expect it!

Gas prices must have increased spending. They must be looking for a few extra bucks to cover the budget.
Still shaking my head. Disgusted.
