Fishing New Year's resolutions

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Fishing New Year's resolutions

Post by High Noon »

I have a couple of them.

1. To learn to fish plastics for bass. Patience young Jedi Knight.
2. To find 6 new smallie locations.
3. To not buy anymore new lures until I lose a lot of the stuff I own.
4. To learn to use Google Earth to help me find new spots.
5. To make time to be a more active member of Fish-Hawk.
6. To lose 15lbs. to help my little 15h.p. be faster on the water.

really, i only have 1 true goal for 2009.

to catch a true, verified, 5lbs LARGIE.

down here we shake 4 and 5lbs smallies off the side of the boat, but a largie, not so. i worked so very hard in 2008 for a 5lbs largie, and only managed a 4lbs 12ounce....this year will be my year.

i saw a 5lbs 8ounce largie fishing with toobinator....he knows how to fish.... 8)

We will call these fishing resolutions.

1) To stay away from buying useless plastics because they are a good price.
2) To catch a Carp on my fly rod
3) Try my luck interior fishing in Algonquin Park
4) to catch a 10lbs+ pike during my annual northern Ontario fishing trip.

That’s enough for now

Hopefully pics to follow

Happy New Year

I want to learn to fish bass jigs.

I will continue to explore the Rideau River with my new fishing buddy, my grandson Nathan.

Take my grandson trout fishing. He wants to catch a laker.

I want to explore a new spot on the St. Lawrence River for LMB. I'm trying to decide where to launch. Ivy Lea, Rockport or Gan.

I hope to enjoy every moment on the water, with family, friend or just me. After all, it's the journey - not the destination.
