need some info on fishing muskrat lake

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

try punching a hole with an ice auger or a manuel auger then check the structure weed flat bottom rocks. what ever YOU like!

run and gun would be the best way to find a spot for YOURSELF!

to find what YOU are targetting!

pike i would look for a old weed bed and suspend my dead minnow and or jig over it!

walleye i cant help you i dont have enough exerience to talk about the eyes!

never mind were everybody's hot spot is.go with YOUR style!

Doesn't seem like that's ever stopped you before...early New Years Resolution?

#1 - the ice is usually late there, too much wave action I guess

#2 - Pike are on the weed flats 7-9'. Get the Adventure fishing maps they show the flats well (easier than me trying to describe them). Walleye I've never had much luck for there. It's always been a pike and bass (in summer) spot for me

what's the ice like up there off the launch? I'm assuming there is 5" or so at least in that shallow bay. I'm trying to decide whether to go up and do some fishing and get the shack in order for January.
