Charleston Lake this Friday

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Charleston Lake this Friday

Post by coolspiderdude »

Weather permitting I am thinking of heading out to Charleston this Friday. I have never been, but the depthy charts look great! and I can't wait to explore it.

- if you would like to join me, PM me
- if you have any tips to share, please do :D
- I am thinking of launching at the prov. park, any other launches I
should consider?

thanks in advance!

Good Luck

The launch at the outlet should still be okay.
If using the launch in Charleston village,, Use the main ramp right at the the bottom of the hill. The water level is down almost 3 feet so the Conservation ramp on the right is too shallow except for canoes and yaks.

Launched from Outlet on the 18th. If the water hasn't gone down any more you should be OK at the Provincial Park.

Good luck,

A quick report for the group.

Headed out Friday, was am amazing day! the weather could not have been better, a little cool in the morning (I was at the outlet launch at 9am), by noon the sun was out and it was great. My first trip to Charleston, so did a lot of exploring. Fishing was slow for me, I caught 3 small smallmouths, 1 hammerhandle pike and a few small perch. Met some nice guys from Kingston who allowed me to follow them around...then I forgot to pay attention, so had a little trouble finding the boat lauch at the end of the day...maybe a GPS for xmas?

Anyways thanks for all the PM's and tips to the gang, this was likely my last trip of the year, put the motor away and such..but hey ice fishing is just...almost...nearly...around the corner

csd,

for the 1st time on a big lake, at least you got some fish.

It's a gorgeous lake, isn't it? Imagine there's still a little color on some of the remaining leaves.

Glad you eventually found your way back to the launch.
